Histomorphological Spectrum of Breast Lesions

A Guest lecture cum workshop on Histomorphological Spectrum of Breast Lesions was organized by the Department of Pathology, FMHS, SGT University on Saturday, 02 March 24 at 09.300 am onwards at C Block, attended by all the faculty members and PG students of the Department of Pathology. The Guest speaker was Dr Nisha Marwaha, Sr Professor of Pathology, PGIMS, Rohtak. The inauguration of the event was graced by Dr Sham Singla.

The above was conducted in three sessions. The first session comprised normal histology of the breast and approach to Breast lesions. The second session consisted of histopathology slide seminar for the PG Residents. The third session was a detailed discussion on the viewed slides. Recent diagnostic updates in accordance with current WHO classification were highlighted, which included immunohistochemistry and molecular aspects, which bear relevance due to impact on treatment and prognosis of the patients. The session lasted for 3 hours.

Overall, it was an enriching experience for all the PG residents and faculty. Considerable interest was evoked among the audience with excellent interaction during the question and answer sessions. Some photographs of the event are placed as enclosure.
