Dr. Poonam Salwan is a dedicated academician with a teaching experience of over 15 years. She is a graduate in medicine from Government Medical College, Amritsar and post graduate from Government Medical College, Patiala. She has done Senior Residency of three years from Vardman Mahavir Medical college & Safdurjung Hospital, New Delhi. She has been regularly attending workshops and CMEs to enhance her knowledge about recent advances in pharmacology. She holds charge of ADR monitoring center (under PvPI) in the department of Pharmacology, SGT Medical College. She is also guiding and supervising work of Post graduate students pursuing MSc & MD Pharmacology. She has been actively conducting undergraduate exams in SGT and other universities. She is also a paper setter and evaluator for graduate programmes of various universities. She is an active member of Animal Ethics Committee of SGT Medical College. She is also a member of Pharmacovigilance Committee and regularly convenes meetings with the clinicians to improve reporting of Adverse Drug Reactions. She was the organizing secretary of Pharmacovigilance workshop conducted in the Department of Pharmacology in collaboration with PvPI.
