Course Overview

At SGT University's School of Physiotherapy, the Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) course is a comprehensive undergraduate course that has been planned specifically and carefully so that the learners may acquire the required understanding and expertise for them becoming able-bodied physiotherapists. This course merges theoretical knowledge with hands-on experience and trains students who pursue it for job prospects in healthcare. The syllabus, which covers a multitude of different aspects concerning human anatomy, physiology as well as therapeutic techniques and pathology, gives the students who follow the course the ability to identify where problems exist, pinpoint causes and even treat different physical states or conditions related to mobility within the body.

The BPT course duration at SGT University is 4 Years + 6 Months mandatory Internship. It allows students to acquire a profound understanding and practical skills in physiotherapy.

Eligibility Criteria

Admission on the basis of NEET merit with no cut off marks of the academic year of the admission.

The candidate must have passed the Higher Secondary (10+2) examination or an equivalent examination from a recognised Indian Board, a duly constituted Board, or the National Open School, with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Botany & Zoology).

Admission to the Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) programme shall be made on the basis of prescribed eligibility (minimum 50% in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology) and merit determined by the 10+2 qualifying examination marks.

The candidate must have completed 17 years of age in the current year as on the date of admission.

At the time of submission of the application form, the candidate must produce a certificate of physical fitness issued by an Authorised Medical Attendant, certifying that the candidate does not have any physical disability as per the prescribed guidelines. 

As per the eligibility criteria, candidates with disabilities may seek admission to the BPT programme under the disability quota, subject to applicable norms.
