Dr. Akshita is a Counselling Psychologist who is driven to assist people in overcoming their obstacles. She is currently working as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Clinical Psychology, Faculty of Behavioural Sciences. She is trained in providing counselling & guidance with her psychological expertise. Her passion lies in therapeutic healing and counselling. With a Master's in Applied Psychology, M.Phil. in Counselling Psychology and Ph. D. in Psychology degree, she is well equipped with therapeutic knowledge and has thorough clinical experience in therapy and assessments conducted in hospitals. She is trained in Expressive Therapy especially in Dance as an expression, Relaxation therapy and Positive psychotherapy. She had conducted different workshops using Dance expression and Self-Care techniques. She has 2 years of experience as a Visiting faculty in Amity University, Noida where she taught different subjects of Psychotherapy to Master's and Bachelors's Students. She has also worked as the Head Counselling Psychologist in WE AVEC U ORGANISATION and has also lent her services as a Counselling Supervisor in 'Covid Response' a Delhi counselling helpline initiative collaborated with Govt of Delhi. Currently, her interest lies in developing self-enhancement and self-healing in the integration of Dance and Psychology. With a keen interest in Research she have published various research papers in esteemed Journals. She is a compassionate and empathetic counsellor who uses an eclectic approach while counselling. With a foundation in academia, she has imparted knowledge and critical thinking skills to countless students, nurturing their curiosity and passion for understanding the complexities of the human mind. Through engaging lectures, thought-provoking discussions, and hands-on learning experiences, She has inspired students to explore diverse psychological theories, research methodologies, and practical applications in various fields. Adding a unique dimension to her practice is her expertise in dance as therapy and expression. Recognizing the profound connection between mind, body, and soul, harnesses the power of movement to promote healing, self-discovery, and emotional release.
