Orientation on Pedagogic Methods is a critical aspect of educational training and professional development, particularly for educators and instructional designers. It involves providing guidance, instruction, and resources to educators to enhance their understanding and implementation of effective teaching and learning strategies. The Orientation Workshop organized by the CEAPS (Centre of Excellence for Andragogical and Pedagogical Sciences) for Faculty of Dental Science & Faculty of Nursing professionals on 15th-16th January 2024 aimed to enhance teaching effectiveness and promote innovative Pedagogical approaches within these disciplines. Purpose of the workshop was to provide faculty members from the Faculty of Nursing and the Faculty of Dental Sciences with orientation on effective pedagogic methods to enhance teaching and learning outcomes.
The Pedagogic Methods Workshop led by CEAPS proved to be a valuable learning experience for educators, providing them with practical strategies and tools to enhance their teaching practices. By focusing on learner-centered approaches, technology integration, assessment strategies, and inclusive teaching practices, the workshop contributed to the ongoing professional development of educators and the improvement of teaching and learning outcomes in educational settings. Participants gained a deeper understanding of innovative pedagogical methods and their applicability within the context of Dental science and Nursing education.
