Inaugration SPARSH Centre and Library Report

Faculty of Education, SGT University, in collaboration with its 18 faculties, has initiated two major projects in Mankrola village: the establishment of a centre called ‘SGT Ka SPARSH’ and a library named ‘Shiksha Sadan’. These initiatives aim to contribute to the holistic development of the local students and empower the community, especially women.


1. SGT Ka SPARSH Centre: The ‘SGT Ka SPARSH’ centre is designed to promote the overall development of students. Its objectives include:

  • Addressing behavioural, educational, familial, counselling, and medical issues of students.
  • Providing comprehensive development and quality educational services.
  • Organizing regular guidance and training programs for parents, teachers, and non-teaching staff.

2. Shiksha Sadan Library: The library, ‘Shiksha Sadan’, is focused on providing ample educational resources to the students of the village. Its key goals are:

  • Ensuring access to adequate educational materials.
  • Addressing student’s educational challenges to enhance their learning experience.

3. Stree Kitchen Project: In addition to educational initiatives, SGT University is running the ‘Stree Kitchen’ project in collaboration with the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics (Faculty of FAHS), the Faculty of Tourism Management, and the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences. The project aims to:

  • Improve the socio-economic status of rural women.
  • Empower women to contribute to society and their families.

Conclusion

The establishment of the ‘SGT Ka SPARSH’ centre and the ‘Shiksha Sadan’ library by SGT University marks a significant step towards enhancing the educational environment and holistic development of students in Mankrola village.


The ‘SGT Ka SPARSH’ centre aims to provide students with essential support by addressing their behavioural, educational, and personal challenges, while also offering guidance and training to parents and teachers, ensuring a comprehensive development ecosystem.


Meanwhile, the Shiksha Sadan’‘ library seeks to bridge the gap in educational resources, making quality learning materials accessible to village students. Together, these initiatives are poised to empower the local community by nurturing academic excellence and personal growth, laying a strong foundation for the future success of the students. SGT University’s commitment to these projects is expected to bring long-term benefits and transform the educational landscape in the region.
