Dr. Purnima

Dr. Purnima completed her Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, Patiala, with research focused on green corrosion inhibitors for sustainable repair of RC structures.. She is a civil engineer specializing in corrosion, durability of concrete, and repair of reinforced concrete structures. She has worked at IIT Madras and IIT Delhi on government and industry projects related to condition assessment and rehabilitation of concrete buildings. Her work on developing a short-term method for selecting surface-applied corrosion inhibitors has been submitted to the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) for consideration. Her teaching and research interests include concrete durability, sustainable repair materials, corrosion science, and service life extension of structures. She has published in reputed journals and is a member of international professional bodies like AMPP and RILEM.
