Industry Advisory Board Meeting at School of Design, SGT University

The Faculty of Design, SGT University, successfully organized its Industry Advisory Board Meeting on 11th October 2025, bringing together eminent professionals from diverse design domains. The session provided an insightful platform for dialogue between academia and industry, focusing on curriculum enhancement, experiential learning, and employability-driven education.
The distinguished panel comprised Mr. Nitesh Mittal, Founder & CEO, Browntext (Mumbai); Mr. Vikash Bhargava, CEO, Shree Siddhivinayak Brandwidth Apparels Pvt. Ltd. (Gurgaon); Mr. Victor Bhattacharjee, Vice President Skilling Strategist & Assessment Innovator, Trendsetters Skill Assessors (Gurgaon),Mr. Rikhil Nagpal, Founder & Design Evangelist, LWN Studio (Sirsa); Mr. Mansvi Pal, AVP – Growth & Partnerships (Himachal Pradesh); Mr. Pratik Biswas, Product Designer, Coursera (Gurgaon); Mr. Vineet Kumar Suri, Author, Marketing Coach & Entrepreneur, WallArt Pvt. Ltd. (Gurgaon). During the discussion, Mr. Rikhil Dhingra and Mr. Mansvi Pal emphasized the ethical use of Artificial Intelligence in creative education and the development of entrepreneurial thinking among students. Mr. Vineet Kumar Suri highlighted the importance of producing industry-ready professionals through practical exposure and value-based learning. Mr. Victor Bhattacharjee recommended conducting an annual psychometric assessment for every student to gain data-driven insights into cognitive and emotional strengths, which would enable personalized mentoring and evidence-based interventions over the course of their academic journey.
Mr. Pratik Biswas stressed the need to create more job opportunities that blend learning with earning, allowing students to gain hands-on experience while developing employable skills. He further suggested that aspiring designers must begin with a strong entrepreneurial foundation, supported by seed funding and mentorship, and should focus on asking the right questions before solving them to deeply understand real product design problems and user needs.
The session concluded with a shared vision of fostering innovation, inclusivity, and professional excellence within design education, reaffirming the Faculty’s commitment to building a strong bridge between academia and industry for holistic student growth.
