Our Approach to History Learning
At SGT University, history isn’t about memorizing dates—it’s about asking questions and exploring stories of the past that shape our present. We treat history as a journey of ideas, cultures, and people, open to different interpretations.
You’ll learn not just from books, but also from archives, films, maps, museums, and even field visits to archaeological sites and monuments. Together, we’ll explore questions like:

  • How did Indian civilization evolve?
  • How did we become “modern”?
  • How do cinema, print, and literature shape how we see the world?
  • How do colonialism, heritage, and the environment continue to affect us today?

Our program is designed to encourage you to think critically, connect the dots, and see history as a living, exciting process that explains the world we live in.
