Women Health Awareness and Free Health Check-up Camp

On the occasion of Cervical Cancer Prevention Week, the Department of Prasuti Tantra Evum Stree Roga, FIMS, SGT University, organized a Women Health Awareness and Free Health Check-up Camp on 31 January 2026 at Sakatpur Village. The initiative aimed to promote preventive healthcare and early detection of cervical cancer among rural women.
An informative awareness lecture on cervical cancer prevention was delivered by Dr. Himani Gupta, Associate Professor, who emphasized early screening, HPV vaccination, and recognition of warning symptoms. Dr. Seema Yadav, Assistant Professor, guided village women regarding menstrual hygiene, prevention of anemia, and the importance of balanced nutrition.
During the camp, doctors conducted free blood pressure, blood sugar, and general health check-ups. Women received personalized counselling, medical advice, and free medicines as required. The camp witnessed active participation from the local community and successfully enhanced awareness about women’s health and preventive gynecological care.
The program reflected the department’s commitment to community outreach and women’s health empowerment.
