Overview
The BAMS, or Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery, is a five-and-a-half-year programme that offers one year of compulsory practical experience that provides the student with the basic principles of health and healing practices based on indigenous systems but incorporates conventional medical practices for quicker diagnosis and curing of diseases.
The five-and-a-half-year BAMS course at SGT University offers an extensive focus on the Ayurvedic text, the diagnostic techniques, the treatment interventions, and the formulation of herbal drugs. In clinical practicum, students are trained in placing applications to Ayurveda in day-to-day life and addressing health issues as a whole. The curriculum has been designed in such a manner to enable students to achieve high levels of critical thinking skills, research skills, and ethical standards that will facilitate the graduates in their career.
