Dr. Mahalingam M is an Associate Professor of History and Sociology with eight years of teaching experience. He has been teaching at the Faculty of Law of SGT University since June 2019. He has an MA. (History) from the University of Madras and an M.Phil. (Sociology) as well as Ph.D. (Sociology) from Jawahar Lal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi. He is a UGC-NET-qualified teaching professional. He has various publications to his credit. He has regularly participated in International and national conferences, seminars, and workshops. He is a life member of the Indian Sociological Society, and also, he is a member of the Indian History Congress. He is a member of editorial boards of various journals. His research interests include legal history, socio-legal aspects, social change, social movements, and Indian Diaspora, etc.,
