The faculty fosters the growth of the individual through constructing knowledge collaboratively and creating an open environment that nurtures the spirit of progressive teacher education. The programs aim at developing the understanding and competencies required by practicing teachers for effective teaching learning process at secondary school level. At the same time prepares the prospective teachers to understand the psychological and sociological aspects of the child’s development and also understand his/her behaviour under different conditions.

To be successful, students must display sensitivity and a sense of responsibilities to the teaching profession and respect for knowledge. The course work combined with the rigorous practice of teaching prepares teacher trainers to master the art of teaching and the ability to deal with students based on their individual differences in various classroom situations.
