On 26th April 2024, Academic Association (Tutelage and Qabil) of Department of Special Education, Faculty of Education under the Chief Patronage of Prof.(Dr.)Madhavi Sharma, Dean of Faculty of Education in collaboration with Samajik Vikas SGT Ka Prayas and under the aegis of Institutions Innovation Council of SGT University, organized a community outreach program aimed at Village Inclusion by bridging communities and abilities, 20 children with special needs were identified through door to door survey and communicating with ICDS and Anganwadi worker of the village Kheda Khurampur, situated 15 Kms away from SGT University Campus. 43 students participated in this program. The program was coordinated by the able guidance of Mr. Parveen Kumar Jat, Asst. Prof. Dept of Special Education and Co-Coordinated by Mr. Awadhesh Kumar Yadav. Mr. Abhra Mukhopadhyay and Mr. Chandan Kumar Dubey, Asst. Prof. Department of Special Education as well IIC Faculty Coordinator helped the program towards the motive of IIC.

The anganwadi workers, ICDS worker, PHC worker of the village gave orientiation regarding the working of their organisation, like the process of identifying the children with special needs and rehabilitating them at their home set up. School teachers of the village were also present in the program, they were told about the services of UDAAN and it was agreed upon that they will be sending the children with special needs to UDAAN for getting therapeutic interventions.

All villagers were informed about positive aspect of inclusive education and impact of community based rehabilitation programs with regard to disability. The program ended positively. Students, villagers, Parents and teachers participated enthusiastically.
