Onsite Skill Standardization and Simulation Training

The 29th batch of five days, “𝗢𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗶𝗺𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴” for capacity building of Midwifery faculty in India was conducted at National Reference Simulation Centre, organized by Indian Nursing Council in collaboration with UNFPA from 22.10.2024-26.10.2024

Ms. Anu Grover, Director, NRSC, SGT University addressed the participants during the Inauguration. Seventeen participants from private and Government institutes of West Bengal, Maharashtra, Kerala, Karnataka, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan & Haryana participated in this training at NRSC, SGT University.

Pre OSCE was conducted at 5 stations on Day-1. After a skills demonstration on sixteen midwifery and newborn skills, facilitators from the NRSC team demonstrated two simulation sessions and later, participants were guided to plan and conduct their own two simulation sessions. Participants were then evaluated individually again through post training OSCE at the same 5 stations on Day 5.

The training was concluded with certificate distribution in the valedictory function by Ms. Anu Grover, Director, NRSC, SGT University, Ms. Amandeep Kaur, Course Director of the training with rest of the NRSC team.

Faculty highly appreciated the training, felt empowered with the skills upgradation and were confident to impart the essential midwifery skills to their students.
