Overview
The MSc Nursing, or Master of Science in Nursing course at SGT University, has been developed to give post-basic nursing education and specialisation to the registered nurses who desire to update their knowledge base and practices in the field of nursing. The program prepares students with the knowledge and skills to become leaders, to advance their skills in practice, and to enter the area of nursing research and education.
Supported by SGT Hospital and National Reference Simulation Centre, including simulation labs and a community clinic, students put into practice their clinical skills in simulated practicum settings. Nursing graduates are well-equipped to undertake advanced education as nurse educators or advanced practice roles in the form of nurse practitioners or clinical specialists.
The MSN programme at SGT University has also provided tracks to help students to achieve their particular career goals and advanced practice specialisations in the nursing field. The choices for any nursing student can be overwhelming, and this particular programme offers five specialities enabling students to obtain an MSc in Nursing and pursue their area of interest.
