Jaideep Phogat is an Assistant Professor in Sports Biomechanics in the Department of Sports Sciences, Faculty of Physiotherapy, at SGT University, Gurugram. He is an accomplished pistol shooter—specializing in 10 m air pistol, 25 m rapid‑fire, standard and sports pistol and 50 m free pistol—and has captured multiple national medals at Khelo India and National Championships, and was formerly ranked among the top 50 in five pistol‑shooting events.

Mr. Phogat earned his B.Sc. (Hons.) in Physics from St. Stephen’s College, University of Delhi, followed by a Master's in Sports Sciences from the Institute of Sports Science and Technology, Pune. He then completed an M.Sc. in Sports Biomechanics at Loughborough University, UK, where he served as a sports bio mechanist at the City Cricket Academy, organized an international training camp hosting the UAE Under‑19 team, and worked under the direction of former Pakistani all‑rounder and opening batsman Mudassar Nazar.

Upon returning to India, he joined the Netaji Subhas National Institute of Sports, Patiala as an intern in Sports Biomechanics, collaborating with elite athletes including Olympic medallist Mirabai Chanu and Asian shot‑put champion Tajinderpal Singh Toor. After qualifying UGC‑NET with AIR 5 and 99.95 percentile for Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professor posts, he served as Assistant Professor at the Sports University of Haryana, where he played a key role in organizing national conferences, workshops, and seminars in partnership with experts from the Sports Authority of India, Japan, and the USA.
