Message from the Vice Chancellor
Prof. Basuthkar Jagadeeshwar Rao
Vice Chancellor (Officiating), SGT University, Gurugram
Dear Students, Parents, and Well-Wishers:
Education is more than degrees and skills — it shapes minds and builds character.
As one of India's youngest universities with a NAAC A+ accreditation, SGT
University is committed to giving students both global-standard training and strong
values. We want our students to step into the future with confidence, not baggage.
SGT University defies the conventional university model. We offer a uniquely diverse range of programmes — spanning Medicine, Law, Engineering, Computer Technology, and more — all within a single, integrated campus. Our medical students train in a large teaching hospital that serves real patients, making clinical experience inseparable from academic learning. Every programme, medical or otherwise, is designed with one outcome in mind: competent, confident, work-ready graduates. Our startup incubation centre, recognised by the Ministry of MSME, has helped launch over 100 ventures from idea to reality. Each year, our Synergy festival — one of North India's biggest innovation and technology events — gives young talent a platform to shine. Our goal: more graduates who create jobs, not just seek them.
In healthcare, our Medical Cobotics Centre, built in partnership with IIT Delhi, is the first of its kind at a private university in India, bringing AI and robotics into surgery and patient care. Our National Reference Simulation Centre is among Asia's earliest simulation-based training hubs, helping clinicians learn safely before treating real patients. Beyond medicine, we are the first private university in Delhi-NCR to receive ICAR accreditation, and our government-supported Soil Testing Laboratory brings practical science to the farmers of our region.
Looking ahead, we are building SGT into a hub for multidisciplinary learning and research — where tradition meets technology and knowledge drives change. Through it all, our mission stays the same: to develop capable, creative, and compassionate individuals who lead with integrity and shape a better tomorrow.
Thank you and Namaskar!
