The Department of Horticultural Sciences, Faculty of Agricultural Sciences organised an educational visit to the experimental farms of the Division of Fruit Science, Division of Vegetable Science, and Division of Floriculture at ICAR–IARI, New Delhi for 1st Year B.Sc. Agriculture and M.Sc. Horticulture students on 31.10.2025. Students explored nursery units, protected cultivation structures, germplasm blocks, and ongoing field experiments. They observed field demonstrations, discussed research trials with technical staff, and gained first-hand understanding of scientific crop production workflows from propagation to harvest. This experience offered practical exposure to research-based horticultural practices and strengthened their understanding of modern, technology-driven cultivation systems. The programme was conducted under the leadership of Dr. Pooja Pant, Associate Dean, FASC and coordinated by Dr. Anupam Singh, Dr. S. Bhargava Kiran, Dr. Iqra Farooq, Dr. Rajesh Mor and Dr Manjeet Singh. We appreciate the support of the IARI scientists and staff for facilitating this academic experience.
