Educational Visit to IARI

On September 22, 2025, at 11:00 AM, graduate and postgraduate students of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences (FASC) visited the Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), Pusa, New Delhi. Coordinated by Dr. Anupam Singh, Dr. Meenakshi Devi, Er. Abhishek and Dr. Priyanka, the tour aimed to bridge theoretical learning with practical exposure to advanced agricultural research and technology--driven solutions for the future of agriculture.
During the tour, students explored key facilities, including the IARI
Entomology Museum (National Pusa Collection), the Division of Genetics with a
live High-Throughput (HT) rice field demonstration, the Nanaji Deshmukh Plant
Phenomics Centre, and the National Phytotron Facility. They learned about insect classification,
crop genetic improvement, automated phenotyping, controlled-environment studies,
and the use of AI, robotics, and data science in modern agriculture.
