Dr. Pooja Pant

Dr. Pooja Pant is an accomplished academician and researcher with over 12 years of experience in horticulture. She holds a PhD in Horticulture from G.B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar, and currently serves as Associate Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences at SGT University, Gurugram. Her expertise lies in dry flower technology, urban horticulture, hydroponics, and Hi-Tech Horticulture.
Dr. Pant has received numerous prestigious awards, including the Young Scientist Award, Excellence in Teaching Award etc. She holds four published patents and leads several funded and intramural research projects, including a National Medicinal Plant Board-supported herbal garden initiative. She has developed innovative technologies like low-cost hydroponic units and value-added products from flowers.
Her commitment to academic excellence extends to mentoring postgraduate and doctoral students, fostering innovation, and advancing the field of horticulture. A prolific researcher, she has a rich portfolio of publications, including numerous research papers in national and international journals, books, technical booklets, and book chapters. She has also organized and participated in numerous training programs and conferences. With a strong background in teaching, research, and extension services, Dr. Pant is dedicated to promoting sustainable horticultural practices and bridging the gap between academic research and practical implementation to enhance agricultural productivity and resource efficiency.
