Dr. Sonali Parwan, Ph.D, Assistant Professor, Plant Pathology, Faculty of Agricultural Sciences is with with SGT university since 3 rd August 2026 holds Ph.D degree from Chaudhary Sarwan Kumar Himachal Pradesh Krishi Vishvavidyalaya (CSKHPKV), Palampur, Himachal Pradesh with research expertise on molecular diagnostics, pathogen variability, host-pathogen interactions, plant disease epidemiology, biological control and integrated disease management for sustainable crop protection. She received international research exposure as a Visiting Scientist at International Maize and Wheat Improvement Center (CIMMYT), El Batan, Mexico, under the programme Genetics and Breeding for Disease Resistance. She also has received several academic distinctions, including the Best Oral Presentation Award, 2 Best Poster Awards and the Best M.Sc. Thesis Award. She has a record of publications in esteemed journals with 19 research papers, 6 book chapters, 4 popular articles and a compendium publication in reputed national and international journals and publishers. She is committed to excellence in teaching, research, student mentorship and developing sustainable disease management strategies for improving agricultural productivity.
