Dr. Barkha Bhatnagar

Having obtained Ph D in Foods and Nutrition from Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati University, Ajmer, Dr. Barkha Bhatnagar is a National Eligibility Test (NET) and State Level Eligibility Test (SLET) qualified academician and researcher with 19 years of experience. She has been a Research Fellow in one Major Research Project sponsored by University Grant Commission. She is credited with supervision of more than thirty Research Dissertations at postgraduate level and four Research Scholars at doctoral level. She has published many research papers in National and International Journals and has a feather of editing two books titled “Scientific Approaches for Performance Enhancement” and “Training Strategies for Performance Enhancement” to her cap besides being on the editorial board of Special Issue of MR International Journal of Applied Health Sciences. She is a life member of Indian Dietetic Association (IDA) and Indian Association for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (IAPEN).

Dr. Barkha headed the Scientific Committee for 7 th Asia Pacific Conference of Exercise and Sports Science (APCESS-2015) and Indo Japanese Conclave-III (2017) and participated and presented papers & posters at various workshops, seminars and conferences organized by different organizations. She has been nominated as a member of the committee formulated at National Level to develop the curriculum on Sports Nutrition for various Sports Universities. The committee has been formulated by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Department of Sports, Government of India. In March 2023, she was awarded as the Outstanding Woman Researcher in Nutrition and Dietetics Award by the Venus International Foundation, Chennai. Presently, she is working as Dean (Officiating), Faculty of Allied Health Sciences. She is also the Chairperson of Internal Complaints Committee of SGT University, and Director, Women’s Study Centre.
