Celebrating World Optometry Day at SGT University

In collaboration with Essilor Luxottica, the Department of Optometry, FAHS, SGT University made World Optometry Day 2025 a grand success on March 24th! The event began with a lamp-lighting ceremony, a symbol of wisdom and enlightenment, graced by our esteemed Prof. Dr. Barkha Bhatnagar, Dean, FAHS, faculty members and students.

Event Highlights:

  • A thrilling Optometry Quiz by Tanima Chakraborty, Regional EPS Manager, Essilor India Pvt. Ltd.
  • Poster Competition – where students showcased their creativity and passion for eye care.
  • Cultural Performances – because optometrists can do more than just correct vision!
  • Skit on Eye Awareness – an engaging and thought-provoking performance highlighting the importance of vision care.

Our students' energy, enthusiasm, and participation made this event truly remarkable. A huge thank you to Essilor Luxottica and everyone who contributed to this success! We are excited for more such inspiring events in the future.
