Industrial Visit to Dietetics Department, Max Super Specialty Hospital, Dwarka

Nutri-Care Club Nutrition & Dietetics (SGT University) students had an enriching educational and industrial visit to the Dietetics Department at Max Super Specialty Hospital, Dwarka on 21st march 2025, gaining invaluable insights into hospital-based dietetics and patient care. The visit began with an in-depth exploration of the hospital kitchen, menu planning, and dietary counselling sections, where students observed how therapeutic diets are prepared and customized for different medical conditions.
The Head Dietitian Ms. Upasana Parv Kalra provided a detailed session on diet planning, nutritional assessment tools, patient counselling techniques, and the critical role of a dietitian in clinical settings. Students learned about maintaining a structured schedule for patient care, documentation, and meal distribution, along with essential professional skills required in hospital dietetics. The visit also emphasized the importance of evidence-based dietary interventions, teamwork in a healthcare setting, and staying updated with nutritional advancements. This hands-on experience gave students a real-world perspective on clinical nutrition and strengthened their practical knowledge.
