Dr. Govind Ballabh Bhatt

Dr. G. B. Bhatt is a distinguished academician, researcher, and Public Health Nutrition expert with over 12 years of experience in higher education, research, and academic administration. A NET-qualified scholar, he holds a Ph.D. in Human Nutrition from Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Uttarakhand, where he pursued doctoral research under the prestigious ICAR Senior Research Fellowship. He completed his master’s degree in nutrition from Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences (SHUATS), Prayagraj, supported by the ICAR Junior Research Fellowship. Before joining SGT University, Dr. Bhatt served as a Scientist at the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), New Delhi, contributing to nationally significant biomedical and public health nutrition research. His work involved research project implementation, programme management, evidence generation, and research administration, providing him with extensive experience in translating scientific evidence into public health practice. At SGT University, Dr. Bhatt has established himself as a dedicated educator, researcher, and academic leader. He has played a pivotal role in curriculum development, outcome-based education, research mentoring, examination administration, and institutional quality enhancement. He has successfully supervised postgraduate research scholars and continues to mentor doctoral researchers, fostering a culture of scientific inquiry and innovation. Recognized for his dedication to teaching, research, and student mentorship, Dr. Bhatt received the SGT University Felicitation Award during the Academic Session 2018–19. He continues to contribute to interdisciplinary research, capacity building, and community engagement with a vision of advancing nutritional science and promoting equitable public health outcomes.
