Dr. Kunal

Dr. Kunal is an Associate Professor of Microbiology at SAHS and Deputy Dean (Research) SGT University, Gurugram. Holding a Post-Doctorate and Master’s in Microbiology from Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana (Punjab, India), and Ph.D. in Biotechnology (Microbial Technology) from Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology, Patiala (Punjab, India), Dr. Kunal brings over a decade of experience to his role. With a rich academic background and extensive research experience, Dr. Kunal has contributed significantly to the fields of agriculture, environmental science, and engineering. His diverse research interests span plant-microbe interactions, agricultural sustainability, and environmental bio-remediation. He is a Life Member of the Indian Science Congress Association (Kolkata, India), Association of Microbiologists of India, Microbiologists Society India, and Honorary Life Membership of the Asian PGPR Society of Sustainable Agriculture (Auburn, USA). He has authored over 60 articles in refereed national and international journals, books, and book chapters; secured 9 patents; and presented papers at several conferences, with a cumulative impact factor of 100+, 2000+ citations, an H-index of 18, and an i10 index of 19. He has also been awarded a grant of Rs. 5.69 lakhs from the DHR, MoHFW, Govt. of India, to organize a workshop. He is a valued reviewer for esteemed journals published by Elsevier, Springer, and Taylor & Francis, demonstrating his commitment to advancing scientific knowledge.
