Dr. Latika Bhayana
Assistant Professor
Dr. Latika Bhayana is a PhD. in Genetics from University of Delhi. She did her MSc. in Bioinformatics and Biotechnology from Jamia Millia Islamia. She is a Gold medalist and a recipient of the prestigious DST-INSPIRE fellowship. She has expertise in screening Brassica juncea germplasm for white rust disease and QTL mapping. She also has expertise in comparative genomics studies and plant tissue culture techniques. The framework map developed by her was used as reference map for the genome assembly of B. nigra. She has various International publications in high impact factor journals to her credit. She has a strong experience of teaching Genomics, Genetics, Immunology, Molecular Biology, and Bioinformatics. She has attended many conferences and seminars and received the best poster award at First National Genetics Congress (2018), Pusa.
