Dr. Neha Sharma

Dr. Neha Sharma is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Microbiology under the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, SGT University, Gurugram. She has completed B.Sc. in Life Sciences from SGTB Khalsa College, University of Delhi. Further, she completed her M.Sc. in Microbiology from the Central University of Rajasthan and Completed B.Ed. from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi. She has completed Ph.D in Microbiology from Amity Institute of Microbial Technology, Amity University, Noida, India. She received the "Young Scientist Best Oral Presentation Award" at the 4th International Conference on Environmental, Agricultural. Chemical. and Biological Sciences organised by All India Institute of Training and Education (AIITE) New Delhi on 13-14 May 2023. She has published 8 Research papers in various international journals and 5 Book chapters in edited books. She has presented her Ph.D work at 5 national and international conferences and filed 2 patents during her Ph.D. She also worked on a DBT-funded project entitled “Investigation of Emerging Drug Resistance Mechanism in Dermatophytes; a Major Causative Agent of Fungal Skin Infections” for two years at the Department of Microbiology of University College of Medical Sciences (UCMS & GTB Hospital), University of Delhi. Apart from this, She also worked on an ICMR-funded project for six months at Amity Institute of Anthropology, Amity University, Noida. She has 2.5 years of research experience. Her area of expertise is Agricultural and Environmental Microbiology.
