Dr. Shweta Tripathi
Assistant Professor
Dr Shweta Tripathi serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurosciences at the
School of Allied Health Sciences, SGT University. She obtained her PhD in Neuroscience from the
School of Life Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi, one of India's premier
institutions for higher education and research. She has over four years of experience in teaching,
research, and academic mentoring in the fields of neuroscience and neurotechnology. Her teaching
encompasses molecular neuroscience, neurophysiology, research methodology, neurobiology, and
advanced laboratory techniques. Her research interests focus on adult neurogenesis,
neurodegenerative disorders, molecular neuroscience, sleep physiology and epigenetic regulation of
synaptic plasticity. She is actively involved in interdisciplinary research and scientific writing,
contributing in emerging areas of neuroscience.
Her academic vision is to bridge fundamental neuroscience with translational research, encouraging
innovation, ethical research practices, and lifelong learning while preparing students to meet the
evolving challenges of healthcare, biomedical research, and higher education.
