Prof. (Dr.) Kirti Dutta

Prof. (Dr.) Kirti Dutta is a TEDx speaker with more than 3 decades of rich experience in corporate (11 years.) and academia (19 years). She has helped manage and build processes in institutions of higher learning during her career.
Prior to joining SGT, she was the founding Dean of Research at Rishihood University and Dean, of the School of Entrepreneurship, at Rishihood University, where she set up the PhD programme and MBA, BBA, and B Com programmes as per the New Education Policy. With a Ph.D. in Management (consumer behaviour, branding, and communication), she holds a master's in business administration and a Certificate in Teaching in Higher Education from Oxford Brookes University, UK.
Her areas of interest include Brand Management, Consumer Behavior, Integrated Marketing Communications, Marketing of Services, Digital Marketing, Neuro Marketing etc. She is a prolific researcher and has co-authored more than 100 publications published in national and international journals, conference proceedings, and chapters in several edited books, etc. Her research-based textbook “Services: Marketing, Operations, and Management” (co-authored with Dr Vinnie Jauhari), was published by Oxford University Press (OUP) in 2009, and the second edition of the same was released in the year 2017. The first edition of her second book, titled “Brand Management: Principles and Practices,” was published by OUP in 2012; the second edition was released in 2022. Her next book, Integrated Marketing Communications with OUP, was released in December 2016. She has also co-edited a book on Entrepreneurship Learning and Development for CEGR. She has also conducted many FDPs for faculty of renowned institutes and MDPs for Maharatna and multinational companies. She promotes research by being a PhD supervisor and examiner for many Indian and foreign universities. She is the founding editor of the International Journal of Entrepreneurship and Startup Ventures and has served a brief stint as Associate Editor, the Journal of Services Research, for which she is now on the Editorial Advisory and Review Board. She is also on the review panel of several international journals, including the International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management, International Journal of Technology Marketing, and Total Quality Management Journal (by Emerald), to name a few.
