The Finance Forum of the Faculty of Commerce and Management, SGT University, successfully organized an insightful workshop on “Financial Modelling: A Roadmap to Building a High Finance Career” on September 24, 2025. The session was led by Mr. Tushar Singla, Financial Analyst at Gallagher & Mohan, who shared his expertise on the importance of financial modelling as a vital skill for students aspiring to excel in investment banking, equity research, corporate finance, and consulting. The workshop provided a step-by-step understanding of building financial models in Excel, along with practical applications in valuation, mergers and acquisitions, and financial forecasting. Students gained valuable exposure to real-world industry practices and learned how financial modelling supports strategic decision-making. The session also highlighted emerging career opportunities in high-growth finance sectors.
