Dr. Aparna Dave is Professor and head, Department of oral pathology. Dr. Dave is a Graduate and post-graduate from the prestigious Government Dental College and Hospital, Nagpur. She has more than 19 years of teaching experience. Besides, heading the Department, Dr. Dave is dynamically involved in various activities of the FDS and the University She also has several national and international publications to her credit. She has been External Examiner for UG and PG examination at various colleges and Universities. Dr. Dave actively participates in various specialty related conferences and continuing dental education programmes. Dr. Aparna Dave's core areas of interest are Potentially Malignant disorders of Head and neck region. She has guided several dissertations, and studies. She has a vast experience in guiding research projects. She is actively involved with undergraduates and is keen in conducting short studies with undergraduates. She encourages collaborations with other department and other institute for research and is very keen on the overall development of the faculty and the students.

Teaching Interests

• Teaching undergraduates gives gives an immense sense of satisfaction in my professional career. Making the students to understand this unique and important field of dentistry by following newer teaching methodologies ,practical approach of the subject ,and its application in routine clinical work is what I would like to teach

Research Interests

• Pre-Malignant Disorders, Short surveys with Undergraduates Research is integral part of Oral Pathology. Conducting short studies with students will help in increasing the number of research activities in department.
