Prof. (Dr.) Madhusudan Purohit

Dean - Pharmaceutical Science and Research

Prof. (Dr.) Madhusudan N. Purohit is the Dean Academics (PG Studies) and Principal, Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research (DPSR), SGT University, Gurugram. He holds a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical (Medicinal) Chemistry and brings nearly 29 years of distinguished experience in pharmaceutical education, academic administration, research, and quality assurance.
Dr. Purohit is a distinguished researcher in medicinal chemistry, computational drug discovery, and translational pharmaceutical research and has successfully completed DBT and ICMR-funded research projects, supervised 3 Ph.D. scholars and 15 postgraduate dissertations, and published 45+ research papers in reputed national and international journals. His research has received over 550 citations with an H-index of 12, reflecting his significant contribution to pharmaceutical sciences.
During his illustrious career, he has served as Dean – Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) at JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research, Mysuru, Dean – Faculty of Pharmacy, Dean – Research & Development, Deputy Controller of Examinations, making significant contributions to academic governance, institutional development, accreditation, and research excellence.
