Prof. (Dr.) Madhavi Sharma is a highly accomplished educationist and rehabilitation professional with over 28 years of experience in academic leadership, special education, and disability rehabilitation. Recognized for her expertise in curriculum standardization and the holistic development of individuals with intellectual disabilities, she has established a proven track record in international consultancy and national-level program management. Her core competencies encompass strategic faculty coordination, instructional design for self- instructional materials, and the implementation of Individualized Education Programmes (IEPs). Furthermore, she is skilled in both quantitative and qualitative research, as well as national and international institutional liaisoning.

Currently serving as the Professor and Dean at SGT University, Gurugram, Dr. Sharma leads the Faculty of Education and the Department of Special Education. Her previous leadership roles include serving as Professor and Principal at The ICFAI University, Tripura, where she established a dedicated Research and Resource Centre for disability. Her extensive background also includes managing nationwide distance education programs for the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) and serving as a Counsellor in Columbia, USA, where she facilitated IEPs within international frameworks.

An active researcher and innovator, Dr. Sharma has authored more than 45 research papers in national and international journals and holds 9 patents. She has published the "Handbook for Special Educator," edited five books, 12 book chapters, successfully guided 4 Ph.D. scholars to degree completion and 4 Dissertation of PG students. As a Coordinator/Resource Person/Chairperson & as a Participant she organised more than 132 CRE Programs, Workshop, FDP, National and International conferences in her contribution of work. Her significant contributions to social and economic reforms have been recognized through prestigious honours, including the Global Faculty Award (2023), the National ELITE Teacher Award (2022), and the Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Lifetime Achievement National Award (2019). She remains a registered Rehabilitation Professional with the RCI and contributes to the field through NAAC Peer Assessment.
