The Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Faculty of Engineering & Technology, SGT University, organized a highly impactful Road Safety Boot Camp on 28th March 2025 at the E Block Seminar Hall. The full-day event, held from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, aimed to raise awareness about safe commuting practices and promote a culture of responsible road behavior among students and the wider community.

The boot camp was convened under the leadership of Prof. (Dr.) S. Krishna Mohan Rao, Dean, FEAT, and Prof. (Dr.) Sanjay Kumar, HOD, CSE. It was coordinated by Dr. Amit Asthana, Associate Professor, and Mr. Vinod Kumar, Assistant Professor, from the same department.

A major highlight of the event was the distribution of 250 helmets to a diverse group that included students, alumni, university sweepers, and even people outside the campus — underscoring SGT University’s commitment to community well-being beyond its boundaries.

The initiative received an overwhelming response and reinforced the university’s dedication to social responsibility and public safety.
