The Department of Civil Engineering, School of Engineering & Technology (SOET), SGT University, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with UltraTech Cement Limited on 29 July 2026 at the university campus in Gurugram. The agreement exhibits a significant step toward nurturing long-term collaboration between academia, and industry in the Civil Engineering field. A major milestone has been achieved via establishment of the Centre of Excellence for Advanced Building Material & Sustainable Development (COEABM&SD) at SGT University in collaboration with UltraTech Cement Limited. The Centre will serve as a platform for advanced research, skill advancement and training. The partnership will promote guest lectures, seminars, workshops, conferences, industrial visits etc. Moreover, it will enrich the curriculum, advance technology exchange, and provide internships and placements, and bridge the gap between academia and industry.
