From April 1 to 5, 2024, the Faculty of Design hosted a comprehensive photography workshop led by Mr. C.M. Gupta, an acclaimed photographer known for his expertise across various genres. The week-long workshop aimed to equip students with essential photography skills, covering a wide range of topics each day.

The workshop began with an introduction to photography basics. Mr. Gupta familiarised students with key concepts such as camera settings, shutter speed, aperture, and ISO. On the second day, he explored photography equipment, explaining different types of cameras, lenses, and lighting tools suited to various photography styles.

The third day focused on the foundational rules of photography, including the rule of thirds, framing, and composition. Mr. Gupta emphasised the importance of understanding the relationship between subject and background, as well as how to use foreground elements to create depth in photos.

On the fourth and fifth days, students explored different photography genres, such as landscape, portrait, nature, and fashion photography. Mr. Gupta provided detailed explanations of each genre, followed by practical demonstrations and live shoots. Students applied the techniques in real time and received valuable feedback from him.

The workshop was highly interactive and provided students with a solid foundation in photography, sharpening both their creative vision and technical skills.
