Dr. Ayushi Kulshreshtha

Dr. Ayushi Kulshreshtha is an Assistant Professor in the School of Fashion Design at SGT University. She holds a Ph.D. in Fashion Design from Mody University, specializing in bacterial cellulose textiles, along with a Master’s degree in Fashion Design from Annamalai University and a Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design and Technology from Amity University. Her teaching and research focus on sustainable materials and innovative design practices, blending academic rigor with industry relevance. Since 2019, Dr. Kulshreshtha has taught at institutions such as JD Institute, Raja Mansingh Tomar University, ITM University, and Satyam Fashion Institute, gaining diverse academic and industry exposure. She has published multiple research papers, including “Kombucha Leather – A Review Article on Bacterial Cellulose-Derived Leather” in the Annals of the Bhandarkar Oriental Research Institute, “Bacterial Cellulose, A Path to Sustainable and Ethical Fashion Jungle” in Anvesak, “A Review on Repurposing Textile Waste: Innovative Approaches to Sustainable Textile Waste Management” in Design Quest, and “Development of Trims Using Bacterial Cellulose Textile” in Design Quest. She has also contributed a book chapter titled “Eco-Friendly Production of Biodegradable Buttons by Developing Nanofiber Bacterial Cellulose Textile: A Sustainable Textile Material Approach” in Thar Fashions. At SGT University, she continues to inspire students through her expertise in fashion design, textile studies, and sustainable innovations.
