Ms. Vaani Walecha

Ms. Vaani Walecha is an Assistant Professor in the School of Design at SGT University. She is a Gold Medalist in MBA (Fashion Management) from SGT University and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design from Amity University. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Fashion Design, further strengthening her academic foundation and research-oriented approach to teaching. She brings a balanced blend of academic excellence and industry exposure in the field of fashion merchandising and management. She has previously worked with Amity University Haryana, where she gained valuable experience in student coordination, welfare activities, and event management, enhancing her organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Additionally, she has industry experience as a Merchandiser at Ultimate Fashion Maker, Radnik Exports Global Pvt. Ltd., Impulse International Pvt. Ltd., and Rawls Luxure. Her professional responsibilities included sample and production development, vendor communication, trend forecasting, market analysis, and range planning. This hands-on industry exposure enables her to integrate practical insights with theoretical knowledge, ensuring students receive a holistic and industry-relevant learning experience. Her academic and research interests include fashion merchandising, product development, sustainable fashion practices, and CAD software applications. She actively stays updated with emerging trends and innovations in the global fashion industry. As an educator and fashion enthusiast, Ms. Walecha believes in nurturing creativity, critical thinking, and professionalism among students. She is committed to guiding learners toward becoming confident, industry-ready professionals equipped with both conceptual clarity and practical understanding.
