Associate Dean(Officiating) - Humanities, Social Sciences & Liberal Arts
Mr. Tushar is an accomplished academician, researcher, and administrator with over more than seven years of experience in higher education. Currently serving as Associate Dean in the School of Humanities, Social Sciences & Liberal Arts, he brings a dynamic blend of scholarly excellence, leadership, and a deep commitment to student development. He holds an M.Phil. in English from the University of Delhi, highlighting his advanced research specialization, along with a Level 3 certification from the Skill & Education Group, U.K., reflecting adherence to international academic standards. He also holds an M.A. in English Literature from the University of Delhi and a B.Ed. from M.D.U. Rohtak. He qualified the UGC NET in 2018 & 2024, demonstrating sustained academic excellence and scholarly proficiency. Mr. Tushar joined Shri Guru Gobind Singh Tricentenary University in 2019 as an Assistant Professor and has since assumed several key academic and administrative roles, including his current position, along with responsibilities as VC Associate and Deputy Dean (Academics). He has also contributed extensively to various institutional committees, cells, and Centres of Excellence. His teaching spans English Literature, English Communication, and a wide range of interdisciplinary courses. Known for his engaging and imaginative pedagogy, he integrates contemporary research with classroom teaching, encouraging students to think critically and creatively. His academic interests include Indian Writing in English, Postcolonial Literature, Marginalities in Literature, American Literature, and Creative & Content Writing. A dedicated researcher, Mr. Tushar has authored multiple research papers and actively participates in academic discourse, with over 24 conferences, seminars, and workshops to his credit. His research focuses on Indian Literature, Dalit Literature, and emerging areas such as Food and Travel Writing, with a special emphasis on how literature reflects and responds to real-world social contexts. Beyond academia, he is deeply committed to social causes and literacy initiatives. In recognition of his contributions, he was honoured as an “Ambassador” by the World Literacy Forum in 2020. He is also a recipient of multiple national and international awards. Adding to his well-rounded profile, Mr. Tushar is a national-level karate player associated with the Ultimate Karate League and S.U.I.K.F, where he also mentors young athletes. His engagement in sports reflects his commitment to discipline, resilience, and leadership beyond academia. As Associate Dean, Mr. Tushar is dedicated to fostering academic excellence, innovation, and holistic development, striving to create an environment where students and faculty thrive together.
