Dr. Kanika Godara

Dr Kanika Godara is a Research Track Faculty (Assistant Professor) at the School of Humanities, Social Sciences and Liberal Arts at SGT University, Gurgaon. She is also pursuing a Postgraduate Diploma (PGDELP) in Environment Law and Policy Making from the National Law University (NLU) Delhi. She completed her Honours in English at Miranda House, University of Delhi (DU), a Master’s in English from Panjab University (PU). She secured All India Rank 1 in Central Universities Eligibilty Test (CUET 2020) for Research Programme in English. She completed her doctoral degree at the Central University of Haryana (CUH). Her PhD topic is titled “Theorizing Anthropocene and Climate Fiction: A Study of Selected Literary Works”. She is an avid reader and has a keen eye for detail and research. Dr Godara has presented papers at the University of Oxford, University of London, University of Angers, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), University of Hyderabad, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi and other prestigious institutes. She has authored a book titled “Reinterpreting Gender through Myth: A Critical Study of Devdutt Pattanaik’s Select Works” with Yking Publication in 2024 and edited a volume “Tides of Change: Women, Climate and Resistance” with Yking publication house in the year 2025. She has an ongoing project with Springer Nature, where she is currently serving as a Section Editor of “Narratives” for the upcoming “Encyclopaedia of the Anthropocene” by Springer. Her areas of interest include Cultural Studies, Environmental Humanities, and the Anthropocene.
