Another remarkable year has been etched into the history of SGTU as the university proudly hosted its 11th annual convocation ceremony for the 2023-24 session on its campus in Gurugram (Haryana). The grand two-day event, held from 14th to 15th February 2025, celebrated the graduation of over 2,100 students, including 105 gold medalists from more than 200 full-time programs.
The event commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, followed by the singing of SGTU Kul Vandana, invoking the blessings of Mata Saraswati on this auspicious occasion for the university.
In his inaugural address, Vice Chancellor of SGT University, Prof. Dr. Madan Mohan Chaturvedi, emphasized that this day does not signify the end of academic life but rather bestows graduates with educational values that inspire them to excel in their respective fields.
With degrees in hand and dreams in their eyes, the graduates stepped into a world full of opportunities, ready to contribute to society and make a difference. Tears of joy, heartfelt smiles, and nostalgic memories filled the atmosphere as students bid farewell to their alma mater, stepping into a promising future.
The ceremony was made even more memorable with the recognition of exceptional individuals. SGT University also took immense pride in bestowing an honorary doctorate degree upon Dr. Shobhana Radhakrishna, a distinguished Gandhian scholar, an eminent thought leader, and an inspirational global voice on ethical leadership and non-violence.
Dr A. Surya Prakash, Padma Bhushan, an eminent scholar, veteran journalist, and distinguished media professional was also conferred with a doctorate degree for his lifelong contributions in the field of Journalism, that have enriched India's democratic and parliamentary landscape.

These esteemed personalities delivered motivating messages, encouraging graduates to utilize their education for the advancement of society and the nation. Shri Dharmendra Pradhan praised the SGT University saying that the students from institutions like SGT University will have to develop global solutions for India to reach its goals. The education minister also praised the inauguration of the chancellor library at the SGT University campus, which contains the incredible literary contributions of SGT University's Chancellor and recent Padma Bhushan recipient, Shri Ram Bahadur Rai. the library has vast literature and research on India's societal history, from independence till today. "You must be rooted and futuristic, and SGT University has created an important chapter in India's knowledge tradition," he said.
Rohan Jaitley, congratulating the young achievers, said that they will become policymakers, reformers, entrepreneurs, and more. "Remember that success in life is not only personal achievement but also the positive impact you have on people," he remarked.
Day 2 also saw many esteemed guests drop their own pearls of wisdom:
