Dr Sayantan Choudhury Ranked Among World's Top 5% Scientists in SciRank Global Registry 2025

Dr Sayantan Choudhury, Assistant Professor (Senior Grade) at the Thanu Padmanabhan Centre for Cosmology and Science Popularization (CCSP), an autonomous research and teaching centre of SGT University in Gurugram, has been named one of the world's top 5% scientists in the SciRank Global Registry 2025, with a global rank of #295,974, based on rigorous bibliometric analysis. With more than 11 years of post-Ph.D. research experience, in the branch of Theoretical Cosmology, Quantum Information aspects of Gravity, QFT in curved space, Open quantum systems, Thermalization and quantum quench, Effective field theory, String Cosmology, Study of SYK and tensor-like models, and Bose-Fermi duality in Chern-Simons matter theories. He worked as a postdoc fellow at DTP-TIFR, Mumbai; IUCAA, Pune; and MPIGP, AEI, Potsdam, and as a Visiting Scientist at SPS, NISER, Bhubaneswar; IOP, Bhubaneswar; and ICTS-TIFR, Bengaluru. His present research includes Quantum Information Theoretic aspects in Cosmology; Circuit and Krylov complexity in QFT, Holography, and Cosmology; Entanglement negativity; Quantum discord; Out-of-Time-Ordered-Correlation (OTOC) in Cosmology; Chaos and Complexity; Quantum neural network; and Wormhole with and without averaging.

He has mentored 4 M.Sc. students and more than 30 students at the levels of B.Sc, M.Sc, and PhD. Presently, he is mentoring one PhD student from SGT University. He is currently a peer reviewer for 50 international peer-reviewed journals and is associated with the Editorial Board of 4 journals. He established an international non-profit research consortium, "Quantum Aspects of Spacetime and Matter (QASTM)," where students from various parts of the world work with him on research projects. At present, he is working as an Assistant Professor (Senior Grade) at The Thanu Padmanabhan Centre for Cosmology and Science Popularization (CCSP), an autonomous research and teaching center of Shree Guru Gobind Singh Tricentenary (SGT) University, Gurugram, Delhi-NCR. The NANOGrav 15 data release report on the one-loop correction to the primordial power spectrum of Primordial Black Holes recently included his research. Additionally, in 2023, Dr Choudhury was elected as a member of the National Academy of Sciences, Prayagraj (Allahabad), India, which is a highly esteemed post.
