From Job Seekers to Job Creators: SGT University Hosts Union Budget Conclave 2026 on Viksit Bharat@2047

What will it truly take for India to become a high-income economy by 2047? How can today’s youth contribute to building a stronger, self-reliant, and globally competitive nation? These were some of the key questions explored at the Union Budget Conclave 2026, hosted by SGT Global Business School, SGT University, Gurugram, in collaboration with the Federation of Indian Industry (FII).

Held on the vibrant campus of SGT University, the conclave brought together policymakers, industry leaders, and academic experts for an engaging discussion on India’s growth roadmap under the vision of Viksit Bharat@2047. Students, faculty members, and guests witnessed an inspiring exchange of ideas that connected the Union Budget’s direction with real-world opportunities and sector-wise growth potential.

The event was graced by the presence of the Chief Guest, Shri Pradeep Gandhi (MP, 14th Lok Sabha), who delivered a powerful and highly relevant message for young minds. Encouraging students to think beyond traditional career paths, he highlighted that India’s growth story can only accelerate when the mindset shifts from job seeking to job creation. His address left students motivated and more aware of their role in shaping the nation’s economic future.

The conclave featured an insightful panel discussion with eminent experts who shared sector-specific perspectives and strategic insights. Shri Uditendu Verma (General Secretary, FII) spoke on the importance of strengthening MSMEs, advocating the creation of dedicated R&D departments within small and medium enterprises to improve global competitiveness. CA Vinod K. Bapna (CEO, Coparo Maruti Ltd.) presented an optimistic outlook on the automobile sector, projecting growth to nearly 8 million cars by 2030, supported by the ₹40,000 Crore Bharat AI Mission.

The discussion also brought attention to governance and accountability.
