A CME on “Human papilloma virus infection & prevention through HPV vaccine” was organized by Department of Microbiology, FMHS, SGT University on 29 th February 2024. Dr. Om Prakash (OP) is a public health professional currently working as a Country Advisor-India, American Cancer Society was the guest speaker. Dr. Rajeev Sen, HOD Pathology; Dr Jasveer Malik, HOD Community medicine; Dr Wadhva, HOD Obstetrics & Gynecology; Dr Bhattacharya, Emeritus professor Obstetrics & Gynecology ; many other faculty members of SGT medical college & hospital graced the event.

The speaker explained about the infections cause by HPV virus, its global burden and recent diagnostic methods including research data. The topic garnered significant attention and lively interactions with the participants. The guest lecture ended with a happy note of thanks by Dr. Manisha Khandait, Prof. & Head, Dept. of Microbiology, FMHS.

Nearly 200 participants including faculty members, postgraduate and undergraduate students from all the departments attended the session. Interactive session was also kept so that the audience could get their doubts clear from the experts. All the aspects of the Program were covered ardently & enthusiastically. The CME was a successful event with maximum participation from the faculty members and medical undergraduate and postgraduate students.
