About Nursing
At the Faculty of Nursing, learning extends far beyond the classroom. Along with experienced faculty and supportive infrastructure, students benefit from a range of well-equipped, discipline-specific laboratories designed to strengthen clinical competence and confidence. Dedicated laboratories for Nursing Foundation, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Pediatrics, Community Health Nursing, Nutrition, and Computer Science provide hands-on exposure that bridges theoretical knowledge with practical application.
Before entering real clinical environments, students refine their skills in a safe and supervised setting at our National Reference Simulation Center (NRSC). The center enables learners to practice essential nursing procedures, develop clinical decision-making abilities, and build professional confidence through simulated patient care scenarios, ensuring they are thoroughly prepared for actual hospital and community postings.
Clinical Facilities
Parent Hospital
SGT Medical College, Hospital and Research Institute, the University’s parent hospital,
is a multi-specialty teaching
and research hospital with more than 878 beds, including 61 beds exclusively dedicated
to critical care services. The
hospital serves as the primary clinical training center for nursing students, providing
continuous and structured
hands-on learning opportunities.
Students gain enriched clinical experience through extensive exposure to a wide spectrum
of medical and surgical cases.
Under the guidance of experienced clinicians and nursing professionals, learners
actively participate in patient
assessment, bedside care, monitoring, and multidisciplinary healthcare delivery,
enabling them to translate theoretical
knowledge into safe and competent clinical practice.
Affiliated Hospital
Clinical exposure forms the backbone of nursing education at the Faculty of Nursing. The
SGT
University is supported by
its own 878-bedded, NABH- and NABL-accredited multi-specialty parent hospital, providing
students with continuous
opportunities for hands-on patient care under expert supervision.

Community Posting
Community exposure is an integral component of nursing education
at the
Faculty of Nursing. To
develop socially
responsible and competent nursing professionals, students are regularly posted in urban
and
rural health settings where
they actively participate in real-time public health activities under faculty
supervision.
Through these postings, learners gain practical experience in health assessment, home
visits,
maternal and child health
services, immunization programs, school health services, health education, and community
awareness campaigns. The
training helps students understand the health needs of diverse populations and
strengthens their
preventive, promotive,
and rehabilitative care skills. Our students are posted at the following government
health
facilities:
CHC Farukhnagar, PHC Garhi, PHC Farukhnagar, PHC Daultabad, PHC Wazirabad, PHC
Gurgaon
village
These field experiences bridge classroom learning with community practice, enabling
students to
apply nursing knowledge
in real-life situations while developing communication skills, leadership abilities, and
a
strong
sense of professional
responsibility toward society.
