The Faculty Development Programme on “Health Information and Digital Technologies in Healthcare,” was successfully conducted with a focus on practical learning and hands-on training. The sessions were facilitated by experts from NRCeS, C-DAC Pune and SGT University.
The day began with a demonstration of the SGT Hospital Management Information System (HMIS) by Mr. Lucky, HIS Manager, SGT University, providing participants with insights into the application of digital technologies in healthcare settings. This was followed by hands-on sessions on the setup of DICOM and the C-DAC Toolkit for LOINC (CLNtk) conducted by Ms. Sayali Satokar, along with practical training on theIntroduction to HL7 v2.8 & Introduction to DICOM Standard. Participants also visited the SGT Informatics Laboratory, gaining valuable exposure to healthcare informatics infrastructure and digital health applications.
The programme concluded with an interactive discussion, followed by the Valedictory Session and Certificate Distribution Ceremony. Participants reflected on the key learnings acquired throughout the three-day programme and expressed appreciation for the enriching experience.
