The School of Nursing, SGT University, Gurugram, celebrated International Nurses Week 2026 with great enthusiasm under the theme “Our Nurses, Our Future – Empowered Nurses Save Lives.” The week-long celebration commenced on 6th May 2026 with a lamp lighting ceremony, motivational addresses by dignitaries, creative student presentations, and the “Corridor of Gratitude,” honoring the invaluable contributions of nurses. A significant highlight was the Lamp Lighting Ceremony held on 11th May 2026 for the 11th Batch of B.Sc. Nursing students, marking their entry into the noble profession of nursing through the traditional tribute to Florence Nightingale, ceremonial lamp lighting, and Nursing Oath. The celebrations culminated on 12th May 2026 with a vibrant Cultural Evening and Valedictory Ceremony featuring a fashion show depicting the evolution of nursing, cultural performances, poetry presentations, and an award distribution ceremony recognizing excellence and achievements among students and faculty. The event beautifully reflected the spirit of compassion, professionalism, dedication, and service that defines the nursing profession, inspiring future nurses to uphold the highest standards of care and humanity.
