Associate Professor and Head, Department Sports Physiotherapy & Community Based Rehabilitation
Dr. Jaganjyoti Das is an accomplished researcher, academician,
administrator and clinician
currently serving as
Associate Professor and Head of Sports Physiotherapy and Community Based Rehabilitation
Departments in the School of
Physiotherapy, Shree Guru Gobind Singh Tricentenary University, Gurugram, Haryana, India. He
has completed his BPT from
National Institute for Rehabilitation Training and Research (NIRTAR), Odisha. As an academic
scholar he has completed
his MPT in Sports specialization from Punjabi University, Patiala, Punjab. He was awarded
Ph.D. for his research work in
electromyographic study in cervical & scapular biomechanics from SGT University, Haryana.
Along with numerous publications in web of science and scopus indexed journals, he has
multiple design patents
registered with Government of India. As an enthusiast in scientific project work, he has
designed more than seven
prototypes of diagnostic devices and solitary EMR for Physiotherapy with students. His
research work has been recognized
and awarded by the Indian Association of Physiotherapists (IAP) and the Society of Indian
Physiotherapists (SIP). He is
also awarded for best scholar project. He has also authored various books on biomechanics &
sports.
He is a trained Dry Needling Instructor, a certified health & wellness coach, a FIFA medical
diploma holder, and
certified Cricket Conditioning expert. As a passionate academician, he has 8 years of
teaching & administrative
experience. To his record he has received praise and academic excellence awards from various
national bodies of Indian
Physiotherapy.
He has also been serving society for over a decade as a clinical physiotherapist. As an
active athlete, he has won
numerous awards in cricket & badminton in various competitions. As a speaker & motivator he
has attended several
conferences & community functions as well. He is a registered physiotherapist with Haryana
State Council for
Physiotherapy. He is an active member of Alliance for Sports Health & Wellness
Education(ASHWE) & world society for
peace sports (WSPS).
